We are on our way to Accra today for a couple get together and outing. It will be such a fun change. Look on your map for Cape Coast, Africa, It's about 5 or more hours from Accra. This is the place where black men and women were loaded on ships and sent to the Americas as slaves. There are the dungeons etc. to see. We will be staying in a hotel there and spending time climbing and on the beach for two days. We are excited to go. Last Wed. we went to take missionaries on transfers. We took our missionary from Kenya (he is the one that on our first day here had to go and get him from 2 plus hours away) and take one from here to where the place was. Anyway, I will miss him, I get so attached to the boys and want to help them. I always say, I hope someone is taking good care of my sweet son on his mission. I need to do the same for the ones here. We brought back a white one, ha ha, He is from Payson and has been out 5 months. His name is Elder Riding and he still looks miserable to be here. Ha ha. He will soon get used to it here and like the place as he is being transfered from the Accra area which is not as country and green. And our branch speaks some English and most of the others are Twee language. Friday night we had a missionary fireside, we showed the DVD of Legacy and I spoke and a new convert from the branch gave a long testimony, the Elder Joseph spoke, the ward mission ldr put in his 2 cents and then the branch pres. said a few words. Elder Riding gave the opening prayer and Elder Sidwell gave the closing one. There was the usual pop and meatpie as refreshment. It was nice. The meat pies I talk about are tiny pastry with small meat of some kind, I only have had one since being here and never care to have another, Charles on the other hand had one, he said he was too hungrey. We don't eat much of their food as we are told to be careful so we will not get sick. We can drink the bottled pop. Fanta orange or 7-up. Happy Birthday to everyone this month. ryan, God bless you this week as you go in to the MTC. This next period of your life will be the greatest experience you can have. You will learn so much about the Gospel and your Heavenly Father, a lot about yourself and a lot about others. Stay safe and remember you're a child of God and he loves you. We love you too and wish you well. Love you all stay well and happy. Love mom and dad.
