Another week gone by. Our air conditioning bill has gone up. What does that tell you? As usual we had a good week. We were able to get a few contacts for the missionaries. Monday, p-day. Had missionaries over for dinner, then they left to teach and preach. I wish someone would feed my boy. Something besides cow intestine and colon. One year for him on the l4th. Good job Brenen. Tuesday was the usual District meeting with the elders. We go over to the Branch and sit in the Pres. office and turn on the air conditioner. Bro. Sidwell and I went out to the Kente village to get some Kente strips that the boy had made for me. Tues. night Bro. Sidwell had Branch Pres. meeting and I went to teach a little knitting and crocheting to a group of young women, after their seminary class. There was one boy who already knew how to crochet. The young women seem to catch on fast.

Wednesday after our walk we did some yard work. Two of the Branch boys came to finish cutting the grass in the very back. All grass is cut with machetes. We try to keep the grass way short in the back so the creatures stay away, but it grows fast. I fixed the boys some pancakes and eggs as I always feel bad for these people who go all day without food sometimes. We are trying to give the boys the work and pay them so they can get their passports and physicals for their mission papers. Two other boys have sent for their passports and are trying to get their papers in. Thursday we went at 6:30 a.m. to Accra taking the 4 elders and to go to the Temple. It was their turn to go. They can only go 4 times a year. Then over to the Mission Home for their District interviews with Pres. Smith. We were given a bread with a little meat in it and a bottle of pop and sent on our way home so we could get there before dark. We stopped at the Mall to go to ShopRite so we could all buy what ever we wanted or needed. We went on our way and 40 minutes later we were at the Baboon Reserve place and stopped to show the boys the Baboons. There were quite a few just right there by the side of the road and we stopped to take pictures and ooh and awe over them. Back in the car and on our way and it rained, just poured down and we could hardly see. We just went on slowly and soon we were out of it. We got home about 7:00. It is always fun to have the boys in the car and we talk and find out about them and we always talk about a gospel principal and all can have their say. Usually Elder Sidwell will throw out a question or two and we start hashing it over. It is good ... We learn a lot and always have an experience of some kind. Power off all day today came on just barely 4:00 in time for me to send this e-mail. The office boy at the mission home called and said there was a package for me. They will bring it up tomorrow when they come to go on splits with the missionaries here. It's probably the one from Janalee with the hooks and thread in it. It has taken a month or more. Thank- you for sending it. Thank you later when they have something made and all that want to can learn. Hope you are all doing okay . We had Taylee turn ? on l6th and Janalee on Nov. 3, how old? I can't remember and Caleb, 8 on the 27 th. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ALL. Hope you all had a good day or will have a good day on your special day. wow. Love seeing the pictures of the kids and hearing about all of their accomplishments. Keep up the good work. Tried to get Stephenie on the telephone several times and can't. Did you get a new number? Why can't I reach you? Kathie's moving, carrie and Kris, what's up there? Kim and Frank heading for Utah and Idaho, right? Be careful. Moses is Utah going to win? Jill I understand you are getting to be a really good bread maker. Give all hugs from us and know we love you. Gotta go the AP just came and we have to go to Young Adults. love mom
