(To Brenen) Wednesday is our mission mark for one year, does that mean we can burn some clothes? ha ha...This has been a fun week for us... Tuesday, usual District meeting with the missionaries here at Ho... then we went to the market and then to the post office to teach Michael and Comfort... it went good and we set a return date....(trouble is, today we have to call and reschedule it cause we go to Accra tomorrow to take the missionaries to the Temple and their interviews.... Do you get to go to the Temple? You may have already told me but I can't remember...after teaching at the Post office I had made cookies for the single adult family home evening on Monday and we had about 30 people to it... We showed them "The Pursuit of Happiness" they really liked it.... some had already seen it...Wednesday we went Ashamian to take our two District leaders to a training meeting.... We saw the Baboons on the way... they were out on the road... and two were sitting on the wildlife sign, it was so cute... we are very lucky to see them lots of times when we pass there. I took pictures but they never do them justice...people here are doing a lot of burning of the dead weeds and things and so it had been burnt along the road and the Baboons were even in the burnt part...We came right back home after the meetings but when we got back we had to take the electric company man over to the elder's apartment because they hadn't had power for night and day...next day (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we spent over in Nkawkaw with the Mattinsons... They live on the other side of the river and about as far north as we are, but they live in a larger town and have to visit 8 branches up and around that area... It is more jungley there and they have had cobras around their house. We left here and went to Koforidua and met Mattinsons and Meeks at Reynold"s house. We all went to lunch and then to the bead place... This bead place covers a block and there are thousands of beads of all kinds and people selling them... it was neat to see ... then we followed Mattinsons and went to Nkawkaw with them.... they showed us all around and took us to little areas, including up on the mountain there and showed us where people para-jump off the mountain etc.... They have three new looking church buildings with in a l5 to 20 minute radius with very few people to go to them and the big boys(church) aren't too happy about it and wonder who goofed...Anyway, it is really up in the bush areas...Well we came home on Saturday morning after having a wonderful time and were so happy that we got to see some more of Ghana.... a different area or too, besides Ho ...... I am so grateful for all the experiences we are having, it it hard to tell all about them...... don't you feel the same way about Paraguay, we will probably be telling stories and things for years to come...hope everyone is doing good... I am sending this to all..... thanks for sharing e-mails about families and etc. to us....stay sane all of you, we love you mom and dad.
