January 28, 2009

Dear family, boy it is hard to get on the computer to send you an e-mail...I will hurry before it goes off again...thank-you all for the e-mails you sent... so far this week has been busy and fun ha ha.... Monday p-day... cleaning and washing the car.... so much dirt in the air you can't believe. Then I spent the afternoon making cookies for the Monday night family home evening at the church.... we had to go and get ice-- it is in one of the family housing areas where you go to a door and they come and get you little packets of ice to put in the cooler, they keep it in a big freezer on their porch...we put the mineral water in it so it would be cold by evening and took it to the church and set up the TV... They watched Pursuit of Happiness and loved it, we had about 30 people.... it's always a bigger group when they announce there will be refreshments...ha ha... Tuesday district meeting, home for a short period and then off to teach two people at the post office... about an hour...home... then off to the church, Charles for his Presidency meeting and me to teach knitting , crocheting and anything else I can... it was a busy day.... today we left at 6:00 to drive to Ashaiam, 3 hours to a meeting for district and zone leaders, we had two district elders to take.... home by 2:00 . The elders hadn't had power since last night and so we stopped and got the power man and took him over to the elder's apartment to fix the problem and then took him back.... home and wala... we could get on to the computer at last..... here I am..... Now what's up for the rest of you? Please try to keep the trials in your life to a snail pace ha ha.... Hope this will find you all doing okay, one day at a time... let us hear from you, Jayson what's up and Trennen and Sarah and Kason. Josh how was the trip to Florida? Ryan sounds as if he's doing good and having a good time being stuck and etc..... Brenen , learning to be more patient , Let's see HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL FOR FEB...... I'm getting it in early in case our computer connection is being it's usual pain.... Jolene, glad you had a good time in Hawaii , we all wish we could have gone too.... Kay what's up with you? Tomorrow we go to nkawkaw to stay with the other mission couple there and to see their area, we will go by way of Koforidua and stop and see the mission couple there... they are the ones that came last week to see us and to visit the water fall with us. We are having a wonderful time... We hope you are all well and no problems this week there with the house... it is hard to picture snow, but know from past experience that I like the four season area the best.... the people here are special to us now and we will find it hard to leave when it is time... one girl last night said, Sis. Sidwell I want to learn all you can teach me.... it makes things worth all the trouble.... their culture is just so different and they are teaching us many things.... the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, I testify to that, the work will go on .... we found properties for a new church and President came up for Sacrament etc. on Sunday and Charles showed them all pieces we had found, he was excited and will now get the physical facilities people up here to go forth...... I know I won't see the new building but will be happy for the people here to get one.....Taylee, Talon , etc..... let's see an e-mail telling what you are doing.... Love Mom and Dad
