Well here's what's happening in Africa at the Sidwell household. Well we are doing just great here. We are so we happy just to get the e-mails, thank-you all. We had our Open House on Friday. I had worked my tail off ( you know me) gathering all the things, like books and pamphlets, pictures any resources I could find that I have here and in the Branch library. I got a few things from Accra. Told all the auxillary ldrs. to be prepared to man a table of display. Some came through with a few things, others just couldn't get the picture. Fri. morning we went over to the branch, after rounding up seven tables, two from here and two from the Pres.'s hotel and enough table clothes to cover the tables, we set them up in one room and the genealogy in another. It looked pretty good for Africa. I had bought large pieces of colored stiff paper and put under the bigger pictures to look like a frame and had made a few posters for the Relief Society and Primary. We had some DVD's of Church history and facts going on in the small chapel. It was supposed to start at 5:30 but people straggled in finally by 6:30. There was also an Elder from Illinois and his parents there. They had come up from Accra and the Elder was not feeling well. The Elder had been a second counselor for four months while serving at HO, when he first came out for his mission. He had also been an AP to the Pres. and was a really good missionary. He wanted to come back to Ho he said that HO was his favorite place in the mission. He wanted to show his parents and say good-bye to the Branch. So after the Open House, they bore their testimonies. It was good. He was still not feeling good on Sunday when he came to church. He may have had malaria. Once you get Malaria it can come back on you. Also on Friday we had an appointment with an investigator named Emmuel at ll:30, but he came to our house later and we were just going to eat lunch-dinner, the missionaries were there and so I fed them all and then we gave him a short lesson and headed for another appointment that ended up canceling. We were busy that day.
