We are great. It rained yesterday and was so cool that we had to use the blanket that Carrie sent us. Thank you Carrie. My blouses were just perfect and all the other things were just great too. All will be used in future time. I am waiting for my literacy class to come today. The boys, they have the hardest time learning, the one especially and it will be slow. The girls love to read and that too is slow. Sometimes I have to have Charles help read with one. Yesterday was District meetings in Kpong. K is silent so Pong. It is l hour and l0 minutes away. We take the two from here and there are four down there. It was a good meeting. The two new missionaries are not new to the mission but just to our district. They are very learned in the gospel and contribute much. I marvel at how much must people know about the Bible. The problem is they don't have the authority and can't understand why change churches. The work is hard. We have two people right now that we are personally teaching, actually three the third is an l8 year old girl and wants here parents approval before she joins. We are waiting to teach her mother. Her father teaches in another place and is only home at certain times. We have settled in pretty much and all is old hat now. We now can take more things as they come, you know plan a, b, c, etc. what ever happens. It is always so good to hear from all who e-mail. Brenen, dad says he feels the same way as you when he tries to joke with someone and they look at him like what? you dork, it just goes right over their head. They can't grasp all the American slang. Sunday was fast and testimony meeting, we had some really good testimonies. Sis Brockbank and her daughter and three other friends and family members were with her. Pres. hardly ever goes on the exsersions with her. But anyway they had come up to HO on Friday night and stayed at the Chance Hotel and then got up early and gone up to the Monkey Sanctuary and the wli falls and the Kente village and so came to church the next day. She bore her testimony and was very emotional. She said that this was her last fast and testimony day before she left for home. She said I have such mixed emotions about leaving.
She felt it was very appropriate that she bare her last testimony at HO because it was the first area she had visited when she first came here. They were in the Nigeria Mission before here but came over when there was so much unrest in Nigeria and the Ghana Pres. here was replaced by Pres. Brockbank. We have enjoyed watching some of the new DVD's, thank you for them. We are working hard this week so we can play next. ha ha next week is couples meeting again and we will go down on Wed. and probably come back Friday. We will probably give Brockbanks their gift then from the couples. It's funny the amount of people that are here that someone there knows. Example: Meeks here are from Heber area and know Jill's dad and mother . And the Doctor we know, knows Mike and Donna. What a small world it is. Glad summer is there for you guys, it's always summer here. We are in the rainy season and it is truly a jungle as everywhere the foliage is tall and over grown compared to the dry season when it is brown and dry. Life is great just remember to do as Jesus would do in all things and we will all be okay. Love you all, mom and dad in the great big country of Afric. Ghana is the most developed of them all and the others are way behind. The church is true. Jesus is the Savior, Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet today and God bless you all.
